A cloud computer that is yours: always on, with Claude Code and Codex installed, reached only through your own private network. Your agents keep working when your laptop is closed.

A whole machine, and you run it
Ubuntu, with you as its administrator. Docker, git, Node, Python, Chrome and tmux are there, and you install anything else as you would on a laptop.
Claude Code and Codex, installed
You sign in to each with your own subscription or API key. No model usage is included, and your sign-ins never pass through us.
Any other agent, too
It is an ordinary Linux computer, so another coding agent or an open model’s tools install and run beside the two that come with it.
Always on, backed up daily
A session left running in tmux is still running tomorrow. The whole disk is backed up every day, and the last seven days are kept.
How you reach it
Over Tailscale, the private network between your own devices. When the machine is built, you join it to your network with one sign-in. From then on ssh you@your-machine works from your laptop with no key to manage, and from your phone with Tailscale’s app and any SSH app.
It accepts no incoming connections from the open internet: no open ports and no public SSH. A server your agent starts is reachable from your devices and from nowhere else. By default the machine does not start connections to your other devices.
You need a Tailscale account, which is Tailscale’s own and separate from Everpod. If your laptop runs a consumer VPN, it may need to be off or set to let Tailscale through.
Who has a login
Only you. Once you have finished connecting the machine, which ends with your first login, we remove the access we used to set it up. From then on Everpod has no login on it and no key.
That also means we do not log in to fix or update it: security updates install themselves, and the machine is yours to administer. We host the server it runs on, so we can restart it or restore one of its daily backups when you ask us to.
Using your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription
You sign in to Claude Code and Codex yourself, on your machine, exactly as you would on a laptop. Anthropic’s terms for Claude Code say that its rules do not prevent an end user from signing in to the unmodified Claude Code with their own Claude subscription, including where a platform hosts Claude Code. OpenAI’s Codex documentation describes signing in on a remote machine.
From here to your first session
- Name the machine, choose your username on it, confirm your email, and pay.
- About 10 minutes later it is built, and we email you.
- Connect it from your pod’s page: join it to your Tailscale network, switch off its key expiry there, and log in over SSH.
- Run
claudeorcodexand sign in.
Cancel anytime from your account. The machine runs to the end of the paid month, is switched off, and is permanently deleted 7 days later, backups included. Questions go to support@everpod.ai.
